What's the difference between biochemical incubator and mould incubator

In the laboratory or scientific research institute, many people will confuse about the biochemical incubator and the mold incubator, what is their difference.



Biochemical incubator: also known as BOD incubator, is common laboratory equipment integrating heating and cooling functions.


Mould incubator: high precision laboratory equipment with heating, cooling, and disinfection functions.

The biggest difference between the both is that the mold incubator has one more disinfection function than the biochemical incubator, which is usually equipped with a UV sterilization lamp.

There are also some mold incubators in constant temperature, sterilization on the basis of increased humidity control (some mold incubators without humidity). Therefore, when the sterilization lamp is turned off in the mold incubator, it can be used as a biochemical incubator, or taken as constant temperature and humidity incubator with humidity. The functions are also relatively complete.
