What is the airflow mode of the biological safety cabinet?

The airflow pattern of the biological safety cabinet is quite special. Let me explain in detail below.
The fan sucks the ambient air into the air intake grille on the operation table in front of the work area of the biological safety cabinet, to avoid polluting the surface of the work table and user samples, and the entering gas is not mixed with the clean gas in the cavity of the work area.
Ambient air enters through the air inlet in front of the work area to avoid contamination by the surface of the work area and the sample. The intake air flow does not mix with the clean gas in the working area of the safety cabinet, passes through the channel, and flows to the air pressure chamber (fan chamber) on the top of the safety cabinet.
About 30% of the gas in the air pressure chamber passes through the filter and is discharged into the room. The remaining 70% of the gas passes through the sink air filter and enters the work area, forming a clean vertical air flow to the work surface.
The uniform and stable airflow protects the sample, avoids cross infection in the work area, and penetrates the work area.
When approaching the work surface, the sinking airflow separates, part of it flows to the front intake grille, and the rest flows to the rear intake grille. A small part of the filtered sinking airflow is sucked into the air holes in the side area at high speed.
After the intake air flow and the sinking air flow are mixed, an air curtain is formed to prevent the polluted indoor air from entering the work area and to prevent the gas from overflowing from the work surface.
The gas returns to the air pressure chamber, and 30% of the gas is discharged, and 70% of the gas participates in the circulation process.
